Convert Image Format

Some uploads have to be PNG before a slide, a ticket, or an older tool will take them. Convert Image Format turns one picture into a PNG and downloads that file.

The output is always PNG

The form does not ask for a target format. The job writes PNG every time, whether you started from JPG, PNG, or WEBP. If you need WEBP for a web page, or JPG for an inbox that rejects PNG, use the dedicated converter for that pair instead of expecting a menu here. HEIC from a phone is also a different tool: HEIC to JPG. This page is the general “make it a PNG” path, not a format kitchen.

What changes besides the extension

A JPEG has no transparency, so the PNG will not invent any. A WEBP or PNG that already has an alpha channel is handed to the PNG encoder, which can keep that channel. There is no resize, crop, or quality slider in this job. Pixel dimensions stay as they were. If the file is huge because the photo is huge, Resize Image or Compress Image is the next step. If the destination is a document, JPG to PDF or Images to PDF is a better end format than another still image.

One file, 25 MB

Upload a single image. The server cap is 25 MB. Batch folders are not accepted here. Animated sources are not a frame picker. PDF to JPG is the opposite direction when you already have a document and need pictures of the pages. After you download the PNG, open it once and check edges and transparency before you replace the master.
