HEIC to JPG

Mail, a Windows PC, and many upload forms still reject the HEIC photos an iPhone saves. HEIC to JPG writes a JPEG you can attach.

One photo, quality 0.92

Upload a single HEIC or HEIF file. The converter writes JPEG at quality 0.92, which keeps most of a normal photo’s detail and makes a widely readable file. There is no quality slider and no resize. A Live Photo, a burst, or a file the decoder cannot read fails with a message asking for a valid iPhone photo. The upload cap is 25 MB. What you still have to check

EXIF and location data may or may not survive this conversion. Do not assume the GPS tag is gone. Strip Image EXIF is the tool that removes metadata on purpose. The pixel size stays whatever the photo was. A 4000-pixel-wide shot is still wide. Resize Image fits a picture inside 800 pixels wide if a form wants something smaller. Compress Image re-encodes at quality 80 if the JPEG is still too heavy. WEBP to JPG is a different source format and runs in the browser.

When HEIC to JPG is the wrong step

It will not turn a folder into a ZIP, and it will not make a PDF. PNG to PDF and Images to PDF are for documents. It will not open a RAW file from a camera that is not HEIC. If the download looks rotated, check the original in Photos before you blame the JPEG. PDF to JPG goes the other direction, from a document page to a picture, and only the first page. Keep the HEIC if you still want the original. The JPEG is a new file, not a rename. A screenshot that is already a PNG should stay a PNG or go through PNG to PDF.
