About PNG to PDF
A screenshot or a diagram is often a PNG, and a portal wants a PDF. PNG to PDF puts each image on its own page.
Page size is the image
Each PNG is decoded and embedded as a page whose width and height match the image in pixels. A wide screenshot becomes a wide page, not A4 or Letter. There is no paper menu, margin, or fit-to-page control. Add files in the order the pages should appear. You can send up to 10 files, 25 MB each. The server accepts PNG here. Transparency and sharpness
The PNG is re-encoded and placed in the PDF. A logo with a transparent background is not flattened to white by a paper-size template, because there is no paper template. Open the PDF and check the logo against the viewer’s page background before you send it. There is no caption, page number, or “several images on one sheet” layout. PDF to PNG is the reverse and only renders page 1 of a document. Compress PDF can rewrite the file afterward and does not downsample the pictures.
When a PNG should stay a PNG
If the next step is a website, a PDF is the wrong container. Compress Image keeps a PNG as a PNG. Convert Image Format writes a PNG from other still-image types. HEIC to JPG is for iPhone photos that are not already PNG. Merge PDF combines PDF files, not images. Resize the pictures first if a portal rejects huge pages. A logo you still edit should stay a PNG on disk. The PDF is for the form that will not take an image. Ten files is the cap for one upload.
