About Crop PDF & Resize Pages
Scanned documents often arrive with thick grey borders, and exported PDFs sometimes land in the wrong paper size. This tool fixes both problems: trim the margins off your pages, or reshape the whole document to a standard size before you print, email, or upload it to a portal.
Crop or resize — which one do you need?
Cropping removes the empty space around your content, which is what you want for scans with dark edges or slides with wide white borders. Resizing changes the page dimensions themselves. Use it when a university or government portal insists on A4, or when you need to print a European document on US Letter paper without the printer scaling it strangely.
Standard page sizes at a glance
US Letter is 8.5 × 11 in (216 × 279 mm) and is the default in the US and Canada. A4 is 210 × 297 mm and is used almost everywhere else. US Legal is 8.5 × 14 in, common for contracts and legal filings in the US. A4 is slightly narrower and taller than Letter, which is why documents moved between the two often end up with odd margins.
Don't use cropping to hide private information
In most PDFs, cropping changes the visible page area rather than deleting what's outside it. The trimmed content can often still be recovered with a PDF editor. If you need to remove a signature, account number, or address, redact it properly instead of cropping it out of view.

Frequently asked questions
Is this PDF cropper free?
Yes. There's no signup, no watermark, and no page limit beyond the 25 MB file size cap.
Will cropping make my PDF smaller?
Usually not by much. Cropping hides part of each page but typically keeps the underlying content, so file size stays similar. To shrink a file, run it through Compress PDF afterward.
What's the difference between A4 and Letter?
A4 (210 × 297 mm) is the international standard; Letter (8.5 × 11 in) is used in North America. Letter is a little wider and shorter than A4.
Is my document safe?
Files are uploaded only to process them and are removed from temporary storage once the job finishes.
Does resize stretch content?
Pages are scaled to fit the target size while keeping aspect ratio.
Crop without resizing?
Choose “Keep original size” and set a margin to trim edges.
