About Time Card Calculator
Clock in, clock out, unpaid break
Each day has a start, an end, and a break in minutes. A day with both times blank is a day off. A day with only one time stops and names the day. Times use 24-hour HH:MM. 09:00 to 17:00 with a 30-minute break is 7 hours 30 minutes. The end must be later than the start on the same day. A shift that passes midnight, such as 22:00 to 06:00, stops with an end-must-be-after-start message. A break longer than the shift stops as well.
The week, then overtime
The default week is Monday through Friday, 09:00 to 17:00, with 30 minutes unpaid each day. That is 7.5 hours times 5, which is 37.5 hours. Saturday and Sunday start blank. The overtime field defaults to 40. Hours up to 40 are regular. Hours past 40 are overtime hours, not a pay amount. This page does not multiply by a wage. Paycheck Calculator does that after you have the total. Five days of 09:00 to 18:00 with no break is 45 hours, so 40 regular and 5 overtime.
The printed card
Open time card writes a table of the days that have hours and the weekly totals. It stays in the browser. Nothing is uploaded and nothing is stored as a payroll record. Hours to Decimal converts one hours-and-minutes pair. This page is the week of clock times. If a day looks an hour short, check the break column before you blame the clock.

Frequently asked questions
How is one day counted?
End minus start, minus the unpaid break. 09:00 to 17:00 with 30 minutes off is 7.5 hours.
What does the default week total?
Monday through Friday at those times is 37.5 hours. The weekend rows are blank, so they add nothing.
Why was a night shift rejected?
The end has to be later than the start on the same day. 22:00 to 06:00 is not counted.
Does it figure the paycheck?
It figures hours. The wage and the withholding percent are on Paycheck Calculator.
