Depth Wallpaper

Depth effect wallpaper sends one photo to the wallpaper service and can return a WebP plus foreground, background, and depth files. The drop hint mentions about 10 to 15 seconds, and the server timer stops the job at 180 seconds.

Four names when the job returns layers

A file named photo.jpg is the base the service uses. The wallpaper download is photo-wallpaper.webp. The foreground download is photo-foreground.png. The background download is photo-background.jpg. The depth download is photo-depth.jpg. Characters outside letters, numbers, dots, underscores, and hyphens in the original name become underscores, and the base is cut at 80 characters. The buttons read Wallpaper WebP, Foreground, Background, and Depth map. If the service returns a single image instead of a job, foreground, background, and depth stay empty and only the wallpaper button appears.

The phone preview

The drop label is Drop a photo. The hint reads JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF, max 15 MB, about 10 to 15 seconds, and 3D parallax preview. The button reads Create 3D wallpaper, and it changes to Building 3D wallpaper while the request runs. When both a background and a foreground exist, the preview is a phone frame with aspect 9 by 19.5 and a width up to 220 pixels. Moving the pointer tilts that frame by up to 10 degrees sideways and 8 degrees vertically. The background shifts a few pixels the other way. The foreground shifts the other direction. Leaving the frame resets the tilt to zero. A wallpaper with no foreground shows a flat preview instead.

Failures you can read

No file selected shows Upload a photo to create a wallpaper. A file that is not a JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF shows Upload a JPG, PNG, WEBP, or GIF image. A file over 15 MB shows Image must be 15 MB or smaller. The same sentence is used if the server rejects the size. If the wallpaper route is missing, the message is Depth wallpaper is temporarily unavailable. If the timer hits 180 seconds, the message is Wallpaper timed out. Try a smaller image. If the job finishes with no picture, the message is Wallpaper completed but no image was returned. A rate limit can say AI rate limited.

The photo is sent

The photo is uploaded to the wallpaper service for this job. The browser preview of the original is a local object URL and is not the result. The result images come back as base64 and are offered as downloads. This page does not promise a pixel size, because width and height are whatever the job reports. A photo that fails the type check never leaves the tab. Keep the original if you still need it after the layers arrive.
