About Receipt Generator

Up to three items and a tax percent

Fill who sold, who paid, a number, and a date. Three item rows are on the form. A row with a blank item name is left out. Quantity times rate is the line amount. The tax field is a percent of the subtotal, default 0. One item of Design services at quantity 1 and rate 500, with tax 0, totals 500.00. Add a second item by typing its name. The note starts as Paid in full. Change it if the receipt is for a deposit.

What you can do with the HTML

Copy HTML gives the receipt markup. Open print preview opens it in a new tab so the browser can print or save a PDF. The names and item text are escaped, so a less-than sign in a name does not become a tag. The page does not email the receipt, charge a card, or save a customer. Quote Estimate Generator is the same layout with a quote heading. Invoice HTML Generator uses an invoice heading. Neither of those records a payment either.

What this receipt is not

There is no tip line, no discount line, and no fourth item. Put an extra charge in one of the three rows. A tax percent over 0 adds tax on the subtotal only. It does not know a product category or a jurisdiction. The total on the screen is subtotal plus that tax. Check it against the print preview before you hand the paper to someone. The file never leaves this browser.
