About Polaroid Frame
Polaroid Frame puts one picture on a pale card with a caption under it. Padding starts at 24 pixels, and the caption is cut at 40 characters.
Padding, hairline, and the bottom band
The padding slider is labeled Frame padding (px). It runs from 12 to 64 and opens at 24. The card is the picture width plus twice that padding. The extra height is the top padding plus a bottom band of padding times 2 plus 28. At 24 pixels of padding, a 100 by 50 picture becomes a canvas 148 wide and 150 tall. The card fill is #f8fafc. A one-pixel rectangle in #0f172a sits just outside the photo. The photo is drawn inside the padding. There is no second photo and no tilt.
The caption you actually get
The caption box opens with the word Hello. If you clear it, the tool uses the file name without the extension, or the word Photo when there is no name. The text is sliced to 40 characters. The ink color opens at #3B82F6, and you can change that color. The type size is the larger of 14 pixels and 70 percent of the padding, rounded. At 24 pixels of padding that size is 17 pixels. The line is centered on the bottom band. It does not wrap onto a second line.
What the frame does not do
There is no film grain, no date stamp, and no drop shadow on the card. Drop Shadow Image is a different control. A single left-right mirror is Flip Image. Turning the picture 90 degrees is Rotate Image. This frame does not crop to a square first. Square Pad Image is the page that pads to a square. The download is a PNG whose name ends in polaroid-frame-image.png. A file that is not an image shows Please upload an image. A file the browser cannot draw shows Could not read that image. The slider stops at 12 and at 64, so the card cannot be thinner than the minimum padding. The saved name keeps the original base name, then polaroid-frame-image.png.
Where the pixels stay
The canvas is drawn in this browser. The picture is not uploaded. EXIF is whatever the browser already applied when it decoded the file. A huge photo stays huge plus the border, so the PNG can be heavy. The button says Download PNG while it is idle. Keep the original if you still need the unframed file. The caption color is not a filter on the photo itself. At padding 64 the side margins are 64 pixels each, and the caption type grows because the size is 70 percent of the padding when that is larger than 14. The hairline stays one pixel at every padding step.
