PDF to Word

A PDF you need to edit is often just a text layer inside a fixed file. PDF to Word reads that text and writes a DOCX. It does not redraw the original layout.

Line by line, not a layout clone

The job splits each page on line breaks and drops blank lines. Every remaining line becomes one paragraph. Before each page after the first, it inserts a page break, so a three-page source still has three sections in Word. A page with no extractable text is written as the words (Empty page), which shows the page existed even though nothing could be copied. Tables, columns, headers, and pictures are not rebuilt. A table cell that sat on its own line arrives as a plain paragraph. Plan to restyle the file after you open it. Word to PDF is the other direction when the finished document needs to be a PDF again.

Scans have no text to copy

A scanned contract is a picture of letters. If the PDF has no text layer, this converter has nothing to lift, and you get empty-page markers instead of a transcription. There is no optical character recognition on this page. Photos, drawings, highlights, comments, and form fields are dropped. If you need the page as a picture, PDF to JPG renders the first page as a JPEG. PDF to Excel is a separate export when the content is tabular, and it has the same ceiling: it can only use text the PDF already stores. PowerPoint to PDF is unrelated; it starts from slides, not from a Word file.

What this tool will not do

It will not keep fonts, margins, or the reading order of a multi-column page. It will not open a password-protected PDF. The upload cap is 25 MB, and the job accepts one file. You cannot pick a page range, and the download is DOCX, not the older DOC format. Read the Word file before you replace the original, especially when the source used columns or a designed template. Excel to PDF is for spreadsheets you already have, not a repair step for a weak text extract.
