Office Files to PDF, Signatures, and Form Flattening

Portals love PDF. Your draft often still lives in Word, Excel, or PowerPoint. Converting on a machine without Microsoft Office shouldn’t require a license hunt.

Convert into PDF

Use /tool/word-to-pdf, /tool/excel-to-pdf, or /tool/powerpoint-to-pdf for text-focused exports you can email or upload.

Pull data back out

/tool/pdf-to-excel exports line-level text into a spreadsheet. /tool/extract-pdf-text downloads plain text with page markers. Both work best on text-based PDFs — not photo-only scans.

Finish in the browser

Draw a signature on /tool/sign-pdf. Crop or resize pages, add headers, flatten filled forms with /tool/flatten-pdf, or export one PDF per page as a ZIP.

What each finish step is for

Signing draws a mark on the page. It is not a certificate from a government trust service, so use it when a portal wants a visible signature, not when a lawyer asked for a certified digital signature. Flattening locks form fields so the values stop being editable widgets — do that after the form is filled, not before. Cropping and page size matter when a phone photo or a wide slide became a PDF with huge margins. Extract text when you need to quote or search, and extract to Excel when the page is a table. Photo-only scans will disappoint both tools. ZIP-per-page is for handing a reviewer one file per sheet, not for making the PDF smaller. After any of these, compress if email is the destination and protect if the file should not be casually opened.
